Passenger information system for cruise ships
Passengers of cruise liners above all expect repose and ease from their journey. At the same time, they are far from resting purely passive: they want to know about the events taking place aboard, some want to preview their trips and visits before landing, others want to be informed about the technical data of their movable holiday residence.
This is where RiverView, our cruise ship passenger information system comes into play.
We want to meet these needs and contribute to the enjoyment of life aboard with Riverview, the cruise ship communication and information system developed by JAKOTA Cruise Systems. It allows operating companies and ship hotel management crews to have their guests informed about all relevant news (current speed and direction, data of position, indication of activities, trips, events). Riverview informs passengers of cruise liners 24 hours a day on across various end devices. The system allows the integration of new textual and pictorial information which can be easily updated aboard.
Additionally, the system undertakes all communication tasks (e-mail and data transfer) simultaneously. Up- and downstream the Danube, Rhine, Main, Rhône and the Saône, Riverview successfully provides ships with UMTS, GSM and WLAN internet connectivity.
